Coffee and friendship go hand and hand!  My friends are almost always my muses.  I have the bestest friends evah, and boy do I drink a lot of coffee and watch my flowers grow with them!  Actually this year they planted and weeded my flower beds all summer while I recovered from my surgery. Lucky me!!  See, I do have the most amazing friends!!  So that is my inspiration for today's card.

Here is the how to....

Stamp one of the sentiments from the More Basic Greetings Set CL549 with Versafine Vintage Sepia.  I stamped mine onto one of the circles from the Circle Shaker Frame Die DIE001-Z and embossed it with Imagine Crafts Clear Embossing Powder.  Adhere it to the top left corner and cut the edges off.

Stamp Pretty Primrose D9350 with Memento Tuxedo Black twice. Once on the white mat and once on scrap white card stock.

Color the petals and stems with Copic Markers BG45-BG49-BG72 and G21-G24 and G28. Cut the second flowers  out and set aside.  On the white base, create a shadow at the base of the cup with Copic markers C00-C0-C1 to ground it.

Stamp  Coffee Words E13237 with Versafine Toffee twice.  Once over the stems of the flowers on the white mat and once on scrap white card stock.  Emboss them with Imagine Crafts Clear Embossing powder.  Cut the second one out, leaving the handle off. Set aside.

Adhere the flowers over the stamped ones on the white mat.  I popped the blossoms up with pop dots.

Adhere the cut out cup over the cup on the white mat.  I used pop dots in the center and score tape around the sides and the bottom to give it lots of dimension.

Mat your white card front to light and dark brown mats.

Die cut Border Duo 3 DIE019-V in turquoise card stock and sponge the edges with Memento Teal Zeal.  While your at it sponge a 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 card base and sponge it too.

Adhere the border to the right side and embellish card with brown satin ribbon, rhinestones and a bit of lace to the edge of the cup.

Adhere to your card base.

Done like dinner!

I hope you get a chance to play along with us!  Thanks for stopping by and have a most fantastic day!!

Ellen

This brand spankin' new image is by artist Gary Robertson called Lighthouse Silhouette H1974 and is perfect for a quick "CAS" masculine card!

I inked it up with Memento Nautical Blue and then went over the lighthouse, heron and stump with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker directly on the stamp.  I colored the moon and stars with Copic markers as well as adding a little shading to the sky. I popped the image up on silver cardstock that has gray ribbon adhered over the corners and added a star brad.

 Copic markers used~Y11, B23 and B24.

My blog is on auto pilot while I try and recover from My back surgery.  However, I did create this graduation card and box for the May/14 Pampered Crafters Retreat ladies to make. Such quick and easy projects!

This is a 3 1/8" box base with a 4 1/4" mortar board lid.  The tassels were created out of embroidery thread and topped with a Mark Richards Black Candi.  "Graduation" was stamped with Tsukineko's Versamark and embossed with Imagine Crafts Gold Embossing Powder. The sentiment is from the Zenspirations- On your Birthday Set CL5313.  If you want me to do a tutorial on the mortar board box, shoot me an email and when I am up and mobile again I will whip one up.

This 4-1/4" x4-1/4" card was stamped and embossed with this fabulous quote by Ghandi  called Change The World C5313.

I hope these have inspired you to create something masculine and play along!

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!!

Retreat Info and Some News

Hello Friends!

May 23, 24 and 25th is our semi annual Pampered Crafter's Retreat at beautiful Gull Lake Retreat and Conference Centre, in Gull lake, Alberta.

Diane and I have created 10 fantastic make and takes featuring Impression ObsessionCTMH, Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko, and many more products.  There are 3d projects, wedding, graduation, birthday, scrapbook layouts and fancy folds for you to create and of course we have some wonderful surprises planned for you along the way!   The never ending treasure box will be there for you all to pick from as well as the 3 fabulous grand prizes for 3 lucky ladies.  Remember to not over pack your supplies, since Diane and I supply a ton of tools  etc.

Sadly, I won't be able to attend, as I have been called in for my back surgery and will be in the hospital during the days of retreat.  However, we do have our dear friend, the ever so sweet and talented Debbie King and my effervescent daughter Katie to fill in for me and partner up with Diane to ensure you all experience the high standard of pampering and creativity over the weekend!  These two ladies are quite amazing~ I know you will love them as much as Diane and I do!  Do have a dance for me on Saturday night and lots of giggles throughout the weekend!!

Mark your calenders for Oct 17,18 and 19 and don't forget to register for our next Pampered Crafter's Retreat while you are there!!  I will be all healed up, right as rain and roaring to create with you all by then.

I will not be able to do the stairs and get to my craft room for a while, so I will be taking a break from my DT positions with Impression Obsession and Imagine Crafts / Tsukineko , as well as blogging for a bit.  I have a 6 to 8 week recovery time but I will be chomping at the bit to be back at it! Though I do have a few blog posts scheduled to go on auto pilot.

The photo at the top of this post is a flashback photo of my creative and always fun craftin' partner, Diane and I from last October's Pampered Crafter's Retreat on the Sunday morning after only a couple of blinks of sleep all weekend.  Still laughing until our bellies hurt!!! Yup, Diane is definitely my muse.

Enjoy your weekend!! I know you will go home feeling inspired, tired and with a bunch of wonderful new sister's!

Hugs,
Ellen
