A Card for a Queen~Anne Ryan

Today's card was made to honor a very regal lady. Over at Splitcoaststamper's there is a challenge called Queen for a Day.  Anne Ryan was the sweet lady who started this challenge to  honor the talented ladies over at Splitcoaststamper's.  Congratulations Anne, enjoy your crown!!  So it was only fitting that my first challenge card would be for her.  I chose this beauty to case........

Here is my tip today.....
when using embossing power, I always rub an embossing buddy over my card stock. This is a little sack filled with a powder that helps prevent static cling on the paper. This ensures that you don't end up with little specks of embossing powder where you don't want it and your image is crisp and clean.

The image is from Rubbernecker  Stamps. I embossed it with silver embossing powder and hand cut it out. The pin is hand made, using a simple florist's pin, a pearl, a savorski ring and left over jewelry making bits from years ago. I added some rhinestones to dress up the corners.  Layered it on navy cardstock with my all time favorite paper ~Silver Mirror card stock ( I so wish this was available in Canada!).  Finished it off with some navy striped ribbon from Stampin' Up. I sure hope the Queen enjoys her reign!
I know this is 2 posts in one day.....I am sure that won't happen to often!
Thanks for stopping by and good night!
Over and Out,
El
