Graduation Congratulations

I have seen punch art owls everywhere and thought I would give one a try.  If you are like me and use your punches a lot. you will find that they get dull after awhile. I have even thrown some in the garbage~YIKES!! If you look at the left eye of the owl, you can see the edge is  rough. Time to sharpen my punch!!! I once paid $8.00 for a punch sharpening kit at  the Local Scrapbooking Store. When I got home and opened it up.....I felt like I was totally ripped off.  You see all it was was tin foil.........

Today's Tip..... To sharpen a dull punch~

Take heavy duty aluminum foil and fold it over and punch the foil with the dull punch several times  until it will punch your card stock clean and crisp again!  Easy Peasy and cheap!!!

  1. Okay, your posts are fabulous educational tools. Thank you! Your owl is darling as can be. And how appropriate for a wise ole' graduate, eh?

You can also use your sander to smooth out rough edges of those nasty rebellious dull punches if you run out of aluminum foil! Hugs and thanks for the lovely eye candy!
