JustRite Shaker Card

Hello Blog Land Friends!

Congratulations to Dodie Martin aka Camera Girl on SCS for winning last months very generous Dolce Blog Candy!!! All she had to do to win was go to the Dolce blog and leave some comments on the Design Team's Cards! So don't forget to stop by and check out the fabulous creations my talented team mates have been creating!

This month on the Dolce Blog is featuring JustRite Stamps I have a shaker card to share with you today made with the JustRite BirdHouses Stamp Set that I received from Sandra and Betsy over at Dolce Stamps and Cards.

I knew right away that I would want to make a shaker card with this birdhouse.
I had never used Justrite Stamps before. I love how interchangeable they are. I was thrilled, the Tag Making Kit came with the stamps and the Spellbinder tags!! This Shaker Card was such fun to make! I used the smallest Large Scallop Oval from Spellbinders as a cloud template and sponged the background with Ranger's Tumbled Glass Distress Ink   I made some hand rolled roses and sponged them with Ranger's Spun Sugar Distress Ink. The Birdhouse is colored with copics and is popped up for added dimension. I stamped the image again and cut the leaves out for the roses. Since I store my stamps with out their packaging, I used the plastic packaging to cut the window for the shaker card, using the Mega Ovals. Adding some bird seed  goodies in between the panels. For a little extra pizazz I added Stardust Stickles to the wings of the dragonfly and the centers of the roses. I quite enjoyed using these Justrite Stamps!!

I had distress inks for quite some time before I knew that it stays wet enough to emboss with. I stamped the image with Black Soot Distress Ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. Colored the iris's with distress inks and a blender pen.  I love how the flower is out of the frame , so I cut it out and popped it up with some EK 3D Dots.
This card had some pop added to it by added some Jewel Tones Perfect Pearls to the flower Blossoms. The centers of the iris's were stamped again, cut out and paper pieced on, adding Scattered Straw Distress Stickles for more dimension. I also added some Diamond Glaze on the leave for the dew drop and sponged the background for some contrast. To finish it off I added some Crystal Sticker Pearls.

Meg's Butterfly and Blog Candy Alert!

Hello Everybody!

I have been away from my computer for a while but am back and playing in my craft room again.  Yippee for me!!

This Easel card was made for for the gals over at Dolce Stamps and Cards.  They sent me this wonderful butterfly stamp from My Heart Stamps for You.  This is one quick and easy card to make! This butterfly looks so elegant embossed in Judikin's Gold Detail Embossing Powder!

How I made this card.....

I Stamped the Fabulous Flourish from Hero Arts  in Versamark and embossed it with Judikin's Gold Detail Embossing Powder.

I embossed three butterflies and cut them out.

I glued 2 butterflies to the  flourish and bent the wings up to give it some dimension.

I layered the image on some gold mirror paper.

For the sentiment panel I used Anytime Messages from Hero Arts and also embossed this with Judikin's Gold Detail Embossing Powder.

Glued the last butterfly onto the sentiment panel.

Added some Rhinestones from the Holly Jolly Jewels to the butterflies and a Satin Ribbon bow in the top corner.

I popped up the sentiment panel with some EK 3D Dots
