I love to make masculine cards and this Local Rubber King Stamp Mustang set is perfect for masculine cards and projects! I started by stamping the Mustang in Black Soot and embossind it with clear embossing powder. Next I colored it with a blender pen and for a nice shiny finish look I colored over the entire image with a versamarker pen and clear embossed over it. I sponged some Antique Linen framing the horse, leaving some white space for a little pop.
I created my background paper by stamping the leaves from Tree 1 with Versamark for a subtle look. I did some faux stitching and added some Nail Heads in the corners. Finishing it off with a homemade lasso.
I hope you like today's card and will give it a try yourself.!

Wishing you all a most fabulous day full of sunshine and happiness!

Local Sunflowers

Hello Friends!

Over at Dolce Stamps and Cards we are featuring Local Rubber King Stamps.  Who doesn't love a

bright and cheery sunflower!!

How I made this card.......

~I stamped this beautiful Sunflower Group with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Copics twice and cut the largest flower out and popped it up for added dimension.

~Cut the image out using Spellbinders Labels 8.  I only wanted a thin border and the next size up was too big, so using the same die I layed it down on some brown cardstock and traced the outside of  the die and cut it out.  This way you get double the Spellbinders in one set!

~I sponged the Cosmo Cricket Panel with Spiced Marmalade Rangers Distress Ink. , and paired it with the border from Spellbinders Parisian Accents.  I die cut the corner at the same time and attached it to the top of the image.

~The back white panel is embossed with Sizzex Sugar and Starry Night embossing folder set.

~I added some Lace, White Satin Ribbon and a couple of pins to the Cosmo Cricket Panel.

~Popped the image up with EK 3D Dots and added some Kaise Pearls.

Finished card size is 5-1/4 x 5-1/4.

Impression Obsession Birthday Challenge

Hello Friends!

I had the pleasure of visiting Dolce Stamps and Cards over the summer. I discovered  Impression Obsession Stamps. This is hands down my new favorite stamps company!  I fell in love with their images, and they had my favorite........deeply etched red rubber. My suitcase came home heavier than when I left and it was mostly Impression Obsession Stamps.  When I arrived home (after a lot of catch up sleep), I checked out their Blog and discovered they were having a birthday challenge and decided to play along.

When I was in Seattle my sweet friend Judy, the Queen of Colored Pencils, a true artist, gave me a quick lesson in colored pencils. Thanks Judy!! I blew the dust off mine and colored this sweet image called Cupcake Kisses~C8441. I quickly discovered I probably will never need to buy another christmas stamps but had no birthday sentiments. I will have to put them on my christmas wish list!!

Both of the layers of white cardstock has been sponged with Adirondack Stonewashed ink. The image is popped up on a Spellbinders Labels 19 and then on Spellbinders Beaded Squares. The largest white panel has been embossed with Sizzex Layered Circles and the bottom edge punched with EK Success Swiss Cheese. I added some Kaiser Rhinestones to the holes in the punching , the ribbon and the beaded square. I used a Quickie glue pen for a thin border line of glitter around the Labels 19. This paper looks black in the photo but is actually a beautiful Metallic Blue. Once I figure out how to properly run a computer and blog......then I will attempt to conquer photography (it will be a long time before I get to that!~LOL).
