Water Mills for Colleen

I put private classes on in my home and once and a while someone will bring me a stamp and ask me to do a class based on the stamp.   This is one of those occasions to show different things you can do with one stamp.  I think this was called Water Mill by Stampin' Up!, but it had no name on it.  This card  was done by stamping with Stazon on Kraft card stock and bleaching out parts of the image with bleach in a water pen and colouring it with  a Fantastix Coloring Tool and a sponge. I love fancy folds and this is my favourite fold.  You can find the directions here.

This is my least favourite card because the white frame is to stark.  I should have made that layer cream coloured.  This was stamped on a wood sheet and coloured with a blender pen. The path was done with a sponge. I used Kittie's tutorial on framing with Spellbinders and you can find it here.

 

This one was done by stamping the image in Memento Tuxedo Black and pencilling in the shading of the image and doodling away to my hearts content.  I was inspiring by a technique challenge on Splitcoast Stampers called Pencil Me In. I like this technique as it will look so different every time.  I sprayed it with a thin coat of Clear Acrylic Sealer to prevent smudging. you can't see it in the photo but there is a smidge of glitter on the rushing water.

 

This one was done by stamping in Memento Danube Blue and cutting the same size of Score Sheet Over top and burnishing in some Glitter Ritz Transparent Ultra Fine Glitter and burnishing it in.  Such a quick and easy technique!  Photos never seem to capture the beauty of this technique!

Sweet Hearts

I created this card for the Impression Obsession's Thursday Challenge , which is to make a card using Hearts and Flowers.  All the stamps I used today are by Impression Obsession. I finally got to use the fabulous Sweet Hearts-B6314 stamp!!  My hearts are these sweet cookies and the flowers are the cookie sprinkles.

I colored the cookies with Copics E51, E31, E33. For the icing I used R81, R83 and R85.  You can't see it in the photo but the sprinkles and the sentiment has Glitter Ritz Warm Highlights glitter with looks just like fine sugar to me.  I also tucked a wee bit of scrap clear tinsel inbetween the layers of the sentiment. I used Spellbinders Circles, Scalloped Circles to cut my images out and for layering.

I used the Gingham Cover a Card Stamp-CC06 to create the background with Angel Pink Memento Ink.  I stamped Sweet Wishes-B8563 on gingham as well using Rich Cocoa Memento Ink.  Did a little sponging here and there with Antique Linen by Ranger and some Rich Cocoa.

I used Parisan Accents Shapeabilities for the border and added some Pink Gingham Ribbon.  Pulled out some Dew Drops for the corner and called it done.

Hello Everybody!

 I hope you all enjoyed the holidays!!   I have a quick project to show you that I made last summer after losing both sets of my keys, one to many times!  Yes, I said both sets!

  I received this Impression Obsession-Silhouette 15 stamp from Dolce and  knew right away what I was going to do with it.  This stamp has two silhouetted butterflies but I inked up only the smallest butterfly in a colored ink and colored the edges with a dark grey marker and stamped it. I cut them out and layered them on silver mirror paper.  Added a little sparkle to the wings that of course doesn't show up in the photo.  I also cut a piece of acetate to layer over top. I found these pendants at Micheals and attached them to jump rings to them to use for key chains.  The other side has my name and cell phone number on it, I didn't use my home number for security reasons.  I added a little bit of Judikin's Diamond Glaze before latching it shut.  I use this when I need a super strong adhesive.
