Sweet Flourish Page

This is a short and sweet post as I am off  for the weekend to the Musical Festival and to celebrate my friends birthday in the town we used to live in.  I am already one day late. Go figure eh!
I received these sweet pictures of my niece and nephew in the mail last week from my sister-inlaw. Just had to Scrap them.   I used the Sizzix Daisey Die and Rubbernecker's Flourish 30-08 sku:530-08 to embellish my page.  I stamped it with Versafine Black Onyx twice, matching it end to end.  Then I ghost stamped it only on the right hand side.  A little clear embossing and Voila.

Thanks for stopping by!!  Hope you have a fabulous Day!
Hugs,
Ellen

A Rubbernecker Easter Page

I was going through my pictures and found these pictures of some Easter eggs my sweet little friend Cobie made last year.  So I thought I would make a page for his book, just in time for this Easter.

How perfect are these Rubbernecker Stamps  to go with his eggs! I stamped Chick w/ Chicklets sku:565-06 with Memento Tuxedo Black and Colored them with Copics. I cut them out, so I could have the Chick gaurding the eggs at the top and used some to date the page.
I stamped Flowers w/ Dragonfly sku:565-09  with Versamark and colored the leaves with Memento Markers. Sponged the bottom edge with New sprout and Bamboo Leaves to create grass. I stamped them again in Versamark on colored paper and cut them out. Sponging the edges of them for dimension with the same color ink for each flower, then adhering them to the page. I added a little Stardust Stickles to the flowers and some Sakura  Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen to the Dragonflies. Their wings were just colored with a white gel pen.

Aren't these stamps just perfect for Easter pages!

You still have until Midnight tonight to play in the Rubbernecker's Stampin' Stisterhood Mother's Day Hop, There is a chance to win an awesome Stamp Set of Your Choice.

Thanks for Stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Ellen

Bevy of Butterflies Window Frame

No matter how I tried I just could not get a good picture of this so the true colors are not showing. one day I will figure out how to take a picture that has reflective glass in it, just not today.

My friends Colleen and Colleen took a class and brought me this 20" x 20" farm house window, precut SU paper and wall vinyl.   We had an awesome day of crafting! Thanks to both Colleen's, it was lots of fun!!  We all had the same supplies and while are background papers quilting pattern looked the same, Both Colleen's were gorgeous with her their extra photo mats and large flourish. I just knew I change it and make it my own.  Embellishments can really make a project look completely different. I had to sponge Cocoa and Chocolate ink  a little heavier on each square.  I added a black Sizzix Swirly  die cut behind the mat for a photo.  I had die cut a Sizzix Tim Holtz Hanging Sign, trimmed it down to crown the photo mat and added some Kaiser Pearls. I stamped severalbutterflies Rubbernecker from the Butterflies are Free Set Sku:538 and several from Rubbernecker Butterfly Inchies Set sku:427 the  in Tsukineko Versafine Black Onyx directly on to the patterned paper and colored them the same way I did in my previous post. I also punched a couple of Martha Stewart butterflies in Black and Cream. I added some Rhinestones and some Pearls to the butterflies.

This a gift for my very sweet Canadian Bestie for her birthday.  I really hope she likes the framed bevy of butterflies!

It just needed something else, so  I trimmed the Scroll Hanger from the Sizzix Hanging Sign Down to fit the outside of the window frame.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fab day!

Vintage Butterfly Trio

I just can't seem to stop playing with these gorgeous butterflies from Rubbernecker stamps!   I stamped them in Tsukineko Versafine Onyx Black and clear embossed them on Cream Classic Crest.  I colored them using a Fantastix coloring tool, with Cocoa ink and then Chocolate Chip ink, making sure I didn't completely cover up the Cocoa with the Chocolate.  I cut them out and sprayed them with some homemade Shimmer Mist, actually all the Cream layers are sprayed with the shimmer mist.   It's to bad  my camera doesn't pick up the shimmer.  I used SCS layout 377. Love this sketch!!   I sponged all the cream edges with the Cocoa and Chocolate ink and embossed them with an old Cuttlebug folder called Birds and Swirls
I had ordered a Becca's Bow Maker for one of the prizes  for the Pampered Crafter's Sorority Retreat  (Only one spot left available),   and ordered one for my craft room too. This is the first double bow made with it.    Finished it off with some Kaiser Pearls.

And of course there has to be a surprise butterfly inside the card too!  I will be back later  with a matching project!

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Ellen
