Scrapbook Pages~A Rubbernecker Sale, and Blog Candy Winner

I made this page for my daughter Katie to remember her fun day tubing at the lake with her friends.  I started with a 12 x 12 white card stock.  I cut a curvy  mask  out of  scrap paper. I use both pieces when I do this type masking.  I masked the bottom of and sponged Adirondack Cloudy Blue then Weathered Wood Distress ink.  Then I used the opposite mask and masked the top off and sponged Memento Desert Sand and Toffee Crunch.  I inked up Rubbernecker's Floral #6~16450
with Memento Olive Green and stamped it a few times on each side of the page.  Then stamped some sand and weeds from Kittie Kits Beach Master~16756 in Memento Toffee Crunch and went over some of the weeds with a Memento Olive Green Marker.

I sponged some Toffee Crunch here and there to and under the Florals #6 to create a little more dimension.

I stamped "lake fun" on Twill tape in memento Green Olive with Rubbernecker's Alphabet Set#1-15625 and added a couple of SU star brads and an anchor charm hung with hemp twine.

This second page is my sweet niece Stella that has me baking as much as when my own kids were little.  Every day she is at my house she wants to bake something.  It's as if every day is a celebration! I am sure it is just to have the opportunity to lick the bowl clean! Sorry for the camera glare, I could not get a good picture no matter how hard I tried.
I used Rubbernecker's Party-Time Set-15524 to do this page.  a cake colored with Love Letter and Rich Cocoa Memento markers and covered with Cinnamon and Stardust Stickles and a red button for a cherry on top. Then popped up over chocolate grosgrain ribbon.  then a simple sentiment that just says it all.  the patterned paper is from CTMH.

I added a few more red and brown random buttons and added some cinnamon Stickles to them.

I have exiting news ..... Rubbernecker.com is having a huge SALE!!!  Be sure  and check it out!!!!!!!!!!!!

CCEE 1234~Paper Piecing with Art Impressions

I love this Art Impressions Weigh In Set UM4049 from the "Girlfriends" line. They make me laugh BIG TIME! I shouldn't laugh to hard...I could be the one on the end~LOL  I colored it up with Copics  and paper pieced the swimsuits with Cosmo Cricket-Salt Air paper.  Die cut it out with a Spellbinders Labels 8 and popped it up on a Spellbinders Lattice Rectangle that the edges were sponged with Shabby Shutters Distress ink.  The mat paper is also Cosmo Cricket Salt Air that has been sponged with Mustard Seed Distress ink and prettied up with an Ek Success  Lattice border punch, pearls and Grass Seam Binding from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This is for the CCEE Stampers 1234 challenge which is to do paper piecing on your card. I also used Splitcoaststampers Sketch 399. Today's SC400   is to use any past sketch in honor of 400 challenges! Wow those ladies have been working hard!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!!

Journaling with Rubbernecker

I made the above journal out of the leftovers papers from a journal my daughter needed me to make for a friend of hers that is going away to private school.

I stamped this gorgeous Giesha with Umbrella-16197 by Rubbernecker  in Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed it. I colored it minimally using a Fantastix Coloring Tool with Stormy Sky and just a touch of Peeled Paint Distress Ink.

I stamped  Rubbernecker's Bamboo-16210  in Stormy Sky repeatedly up the right side of the paper, first stamping off on scrap paper to make it a little more subtle.  I did the same on a Spellbinders Labels One and stamped All Great Things-16478 and embossed it as well. I sponged the edges of of the patterned paper with Stormy Sky. The ribbon is actually a light blue satin ribbon that had been dyed with Stormy Sky to match. I added some black hemp twine and a Marianne Designs Oriental Fan charm.

My daughter had pretty detailed wants...flourishes, butterflies, black hemp and the letter N and not to fancy and had to be blue.  This is what I came up with.........

This uses Rubbernecker's Butterfly inchies-15517 embossed, colored with Scattered Straw and Rusty hinge Distress inks and cut out. They are sitting atop Rubbernecker's Flourish 30-08.  A plain and simple journal that she was happy with.

Thanks for stopping by! Wishing you all a lovely day!

Fold Over Book Mark~TLC 392

For today's SCS Technique Challenge~392 , Joan  has challenged us to make  a Fold Over Bookmark.  I do love a quick and easy project when life is busy and this fit the bill!

I stamped Rubbernecker's Journey with  Versamagic Ocean Depth on white card stock and  shadowed parts of the letters with  Copic marker B0000.  I layered the image on some Cappuccino card stock and punched a hole with my Cropadile and threaded some satin ribbon through that has been dyed with Stormy Sky Distress ink. To finish it off I added some Stardust Stickles.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!!

It's A Man's World~Cracked Glass

I made this card for Impression Obsession's It's a Man's World Challenge  using SCS Sketch Layout 396.  This Doctor's Bag H1831 image is perfect for the Cracked Glass Technique.  It was stamped in Versafine Vintage Sepia and colored with Copics.  I hand wrote "Hugs & Love" on the prescription with a Vintage Photo Distress Ink Marker.  I splattered a little bit of watered down white acylic pain in the ink bottle area with a toothbrush.  Next I cover the image with Tsukeniko Versamark and embossed with Ultra Thick Embossing Powder, TWICE.  I  over distressed the image to make it look really old by bending and cracking it a little more than normally I would for cracked glass.  Then I rubbed my Vintage Photo Ink Pad directly over the image( much more than I normally would) and rubbing it with paper towel to get the excess ink off. It doesn't show very well in the photo but I stamped the background panel with CAC-Script CC-050 in Vintage Photo and sponged the edges too.  I to some Hemp Twine and sponges it with Vintage Photo as well to coordinate it with the rest of the card.  I tried to add embellishments but it all seem just to much when the image speaks for itself.

Blissful Backgrounds TLC389 and DTGD Cards

Today's Technique Challenge 389 on Spiltcoaststampers is all about Blissful Backgrounds. Judy has challenged us to choose any technique for backgrounds from SCS Resources and make a card.  The above card was created by with the Emboss Resist technique.  I stamped Rubbernecker's 10 Point Ornament with Versamark on light pink  card stock and embossed it with clear powder.  I sponged Paris Dusk Distress Ink in the center of the ornament and Victorian Velvet Distress Ink over the rest of the ornament.    I hand cut up a small navy circle and added an over sized pearl in the center, as well as a small banner tag and stamped a sentiment from Rubbernecker's Best Wishes Set. The navy corners are made with a die from Cuttlebug.  I adorned the ornament with lots of tiny pearls.  I thought this image would look great on an Easel Card.  I punched a Martha Stewart Lattice border punch  and finished it off with a Navy satin bow.

  This also qualifies for DTGDAndreaEwan.
Bad lighting for my pix sorry!  You all can laugh but here is the inspiration for my colors ......

This next card is for DTGDLilLuvsStampin, DTGDUnderstandblue and DTGDBasilefamily......

I stamped Rubbernecker's Netting Background Stamp on bright pink cardstock with Picked Raspberry Distress ink and Embossed with clear embossing powder. I sponged the Picked Raspberry around all the edges.  I adhered orange 3/4" circles that had been sponged with Ripe Persimmon Distress ink. Then I dry embossed it with Sizzix Dots Embossing Folder.  I also sponged the card base the coordinating ink.  I used the EK Success 3/8" Ribbon Slot punch on white cardstock and threaded some orange satin ribbon through it and bordered it with bright pink Satin ribbon. I stamped Rubbernecker's All Great Things with Picked Raspberry on a Spellbinder die cut and also embossed it. Added a couple of Bobunny pearls and called it done.

This one is for DTGDMothermark, DTGDKittie747, DTGDCookiestamper.......

It's so hard to photograph Silver Mirror paper!  My sentiment is from Rubbernecker's Discover Word Set and stamped with Versafine Black Onyx and embossed. The sweet birds and leaves are from SU 2 Step Bird Punch. The tulle and wedding bells are from Micheals.  Here is the same card done in white with pleated ribbon and a different sentiment.....

Key Lime Martini~SS20

Happy Sunday!!!

It's time for another Stampin Sisterhood Challenge Jacquie has a fabulous inspiration photo.  Just create a card or project using the inspiration and link it up to the Stampin' Sisterhood Blog.    You can find all the details of the challenge  there.

You could win a stamp set of your choice from Rubbernecker Stamps. Don't forget to stop by my uber talented Stampin' Sister's blogs to see what delish projects they came up with with this inspiration!  The links to their blogs are found in the right hand side bar of my blog.

I colored my Martini Glass with Copics as if it was filled with a Key Lime Martini~Yummo!! Then gave it a good coating of Glossy Accents to make it look like a real glass.  I cut the slice of lime to the center an attached it over the rim of the glass.  I stamped only part of the sentiment onto the base.  Then stamped just the floor onto a hand cut arrow.  Popped the glass and arrow up over a Sizzix Diamond and Damask embossed layer and embellished with twine .

Hope to see what you create with this inspiration photo!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a most fabulous day!!

More Dare To Get Dirty Challenges

Hello Crafty Friends!

I am back today with more Splitcoaststampers Dare to Get Dirty Challenges.  These challenges are for fan club members.  Check it out there is a lot of inspiration to be had there!! If you are looking for my blog candy Click Here To Enter.

I  have five cards to share with you today..........

The above card is colored with water based markers.  I used  3 different shades of pinks and greens to colored the wild roses  from Stampin' Up Happiness Shared using the tip to tip to method blend.  I sponged Tsukeninko's Frost Shimmer Paint over the embossed panel and did some faux stitching, not very well I might add since my hands are not cooperating.

I love the layout for the card above. I left the sentiment off because I haven't decided what I will use this card for yet.  I colored these cute little Penny Black Mice and bowl with Copics and discovered I forgot to color the berries on the outside of the bowl. My Copics were put away already so I grabbed a red water based marker and colored the berries. I covered the bowl with Clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint~ Not a good Idea to use this product over water based ink since it blurred.  I will cover these berries with something later on.  Lesson learned.

I made this one with the left over papers that were cut  from the first card.  You can see the difference since this image was done completely with Copic Markers. I will be entering this in the Penny Black Summertime Challenge

This is a Clean and Simple card done with MFT Rolled Roses, Memory Box Lorelai Leaf and a MS punch. The Fabulous sentiment is A True Friend by Rubbernecker Stamps, It was clear embossed using Versafine Black Onyx. A quick and simple card!

The above card tells me it's time to go to bed~LOL I am trying to use up so many of my old supplies since my craft room is running out of room for me!! I clear embossed Penny Black's~It's Time To Be Jolly and tied to put stickles over the snowflakes, Yup, set something on top of it before it dried.. This will go into my pile of cards the kids can take!! Time to put the crafty toys away for the night. .

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!
hugs,
El
