Sam And His Baby Jail

Happy Saturday Everyone!

I made a couple of quick and easy  scrapbook pages using my handy dandy Rubbernecker Stamps. Once again I am lacking some photography skills here.

This is my ever so sweet nephew Sam,who is having his first birthday party Saturday the 28th.   These are for his first Scrapbook with a Journal Memories~16430  box up in the corner all ready for Mom and Dad to Journal.

I colored up this sweet Baby Bottle~16507  with my Prisma Pencils. I stamped it a second time on scrap cardstock and colored just the bow and popped it up the pop dots for added dimension. I seem to be on a Stickles kick again so I  just had to add some Stardust Stickles to the polka dots.  It doesn't show up very well in the photo but it is a sparklicous bow!

I just love this picture and knew I wanted to keep the page super simple.

I once again used Prisma Pencils to color this super sweet Animals in Window~16748  and added stickles to the dots.

No matter how hard I try I cannot get a good picture of the letters I stamped from Alphabet Set # 1~15625! The lighting in my craft room is terrible at night!!!  It is on light blue paper and stamped with Summer Sky and then gone over with Waterfall Stickles. In real life the letters are quite blue and sparkly and the paper is a pretty baby blue.
Thanks for stopping by! Your comments are so appreciated!!! Have a fabulous weekend!!

Antiquity Songbird Inspired

I checked out the SCS IC355~Bella Soleil
and came across this photo......

Antiquity Songbird Containers (Set of 2)

So I thought I would play along and try to make an inspired card.  This was a wee bit out of my comfort zone, it's funny how things never turn out what like is in my head!
I wanted to try the  Faux Patina technique and I think it was a massive fail, so I will have to try again and get it right!  I embossed a Spellbinders Circle with Birds and Swirls Cuttlebug folder. I sponge a tons of different inks and sprinkled some gold embossing powder in a few spots. I used Memory Box Perched Reed Bird, Lorelai Leaf and Pastry Labels dies to make this card. The bronze pearls were made with a Viva Decor Bronze Pearl Pen. My layout was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches~53.  I left off a couple of Stripes to make it work for me..

Popped the circle up over a Spellbinders Scallop Circle and layered it over an embossed brushed gold layer that had been distressed with Frayed Burlap ink.  The sentiment is from JustRites-Just Because Set and embossed with Versafine Vintage Sepia.  Here is the inside of the card......

Dreaming of a White Christmas

I was inspired by a few challenges to make this card......

 CASology week#11~White

PPA143~A Clean and Simple Sketch

Splitcoaststampers TLC395~Rolled Flowers

Jingle Belles~Dashing Through the Snow

I love this Memory Box Bianca Snowflake Die that my evah so sweet friend Betsy sent me~ I just had to sparkle it up! I did this using a Sizzix Adhesive sheet and some iridescent glitter.  I paired it up with an MFT Rolled Flower Die and glittered up as well. The dry embossed Snowflakes is a Cuttlebug Folder. I really wish the companies would print the name on them!!!!! I added some bits of glitter with a glue pen.

The lace looks cream in the picture but I assure you it is a beautiful crisp white lace made by Prima. I added a strip of half inch Scor-tape and burnished some glitter into it.   I embossed with silver a sentiment from Stampin'Up's A Christmas Carol Set then had to add pearls where I dropped the stamp and had a small splotch of  Versamark. Never a mistake....only the crafting gods telling me I need to add an embellishment.

Thanks for stopping by and have a most fabulous day!!

Darling Cupcake

My little niece Stella, who is 3 and a half years old, saw this Sizzix Stamps and Dies Set~Cupcakes and Balloons -657576 sitting on my desk and asked to make a card with a cupcake on it for  her little brother Sam, who is turning one at the end of the month. It was such fun to watch her amazement as she pressed the button on the Vagabond for the first time embossing and die cutting. She made  her card with lots of help and then I made one exactly the same.  With all the new dies on the market, die cutting is rapidly becoming one of my favorite techniques. Apparently it's Stella's too!!

Farewell to the Butterflies

Autumn the season when I say goodbye to the beautiful butterflies, song birds and all the leaves on my tree are yellow and falling..  I stamped  Butterfly Square~F1345  in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Prisma Colored Pencils.  It doesn't show in my photo but Stardust Stickles have been added to parts of the wings.  The dry embossing is Four Petal Flower Sizzix Embossing folder. I added part of an e. rhinestone flourish and some Daffodil Seam Binding from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I adhered a small tiny rose that I made from scrap paper.  A very simple card.

Feel Better Wishes

I made this card for Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge 402.

All the patterned paper is from Graphic 45's Little Darlings, a beautiful paper pack.   I stamped Rubbernecker's Single Leaf Rose 16157 twice with Tuxedo Memento Black, Once on a Spellbinders Oval, colored it up with Copics, and sponged around the while it still in the die with Ranger's Antique Linen Distress ink.  Then stamped it again on scrap card stock, coloring and cutting out only the leaf and the flower. I adhered the blossom directly over the image and popped up the leaf with pop dots.  Popped it up over a Spellbinders Lacey Oval that had been sponged  with Adirondack Watermelon Ink and added a Melon Seam Binding bow that I purchased from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I did some sponging on the papers edges with Antique Linen, Peeled Paint and Watermelon.  The  sentiment is Rubbernecker's Feel Better Wishes Rubbernecker's Feel Better Wishes 652-11. I cut up a ZVA Creative Flourish up and only used parts of it, saving some for another project.  I added some Lime Green Stickles dots to the green patterned paper and a couple to the sentiment.

I am entering this card in....

Birthday's Come & Go

Another Clean and simple Card today.  Today's Splitcoaststampers Ways to Use it challenge -WT392 is Marker's are More. Quick and easy! I used a note card that I bought at the dollar store that was already embossed with an oval of flowers.  I colored the embossed flowers and cake with Distress Ink markers and a water pen.  I popped this sweet birthday cake  for more dimension, added some stardust stickles to the flower centers.  I added a Petaloo flower and leaves to a Seam Binding bow and colored the leaves a tad and added some stickles to the flower.  I love this sentiment from Rubbernecker!  It's so true...it really doesn't matter how many birthday's you have as long as your girlfriends are there!!!

I popped the whole panel up on the card base.like I said..Quick and Easy Peasy!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a most fabulous day!!!

Color Blocking CAS Style

Hello Friends,

This weeks clean and simple challenge over at Splitcoaststampers Clean and Simple Challenge-CAS187 is color blocking.  Those that know me really well, know how I struggle with CAS cards, so I am going to try and play in these challenges. It honestly takes me longer to make a card without lots of embellishments and white space than it does to make a fully loaded card! It's so gloomy and windy here today, I just good not get a bright enough photo.  Even my white backdrop looks peach ~

I stamped one of the presents from Rubbernecker's Party Time Set-15524 in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the card base and again on a piece of scrap card stock. I colored the one on scrap card stock with Prisma Colored Pencils, cut it out and popped it up over the one on the card base.  I cut 3 squares of scrap card stock and sponged them with Distress Inks~Peacock Feathers, Mustard Seed and Dusty Concord .  The sentiment is also from the same set.  I added some gorgeous sheer ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and some stickles.

Thanks for stopping by  and have a fabulous day everybody!!

So Shines a Good Deed Shaker Card

Impression Obsession's challenge this week is ~ Favorite Quote/Saying Challenge and CCEE Stamper's 1236 is Birds and Music.  This is what I came up with  combining the 2 challenges.

I  knew I wanted to make a shaker card using the new IO Circle Shaker Die-DIE001.   I love this quote by Willie Wonka  A Good Deed~C3634 ! I stamped it in Memento Espresso Truffle ink on white paper and distressed the edges with Antique Linen Distress ink.  I ran some scrap brown paper through the Vagabond  with the  Birds Die-DIE003-A, and attached one of the birds to the inside of  a Large Circle Pouch with a glue dot.  I added  a little bit of Christmas green Flower Soft to the Circle Pouch,  I probably should have added a tad more than I did, oh well.  Then adhered the sentiment to the Circle Pouch.  Distressed the frame with Antique linen too.

I colored up IO's Budding Branch~E8572 with Copics and hand cut it out.  I adhered it to the outside of the circle, being sure to cover the glue dot with one of the flower buds and adding the second bird to the branch.

The background is IO's Cover a Card -Music-CC029 stamped with Espresso Truffle Ink as well and  distressed with Antique Linen.  Popped it up over some green card stock and added some green gingham ribbon, pearls and pins.

I also want to thank Charlene over at Paper and Ink Playground. I won her blog candy and found this in my mailbox. Lucky me! ! Thanks evah so much for the new toys Charlene!!!!

Fin Butterfly in Fabric

I needed a long overdo thank you card and the SCS CAS186 Challenge fit the bill.  The challenge is to make a clean and simple card using fabric.

I  started by running the Delia Butterfly by Memory Box through my Sizzix Vagabond with some very thin scrap pink gingham material.  It was still to thick to actually cut right through the material, however, it did leave enough of an impression to hand cut it out.  I die cut the Fin Butterfly by Memory Box out in Black. I used a glue pen to adhere the Fin Butterfly over the material Delia Butterfly.  These Memory Box dies can be purchased at Ellen Hutson's store.  I do love these dies!!!

The background panel is a 5 x 5 square that the top 2/3 has been stamped with Rubbernecker's Chickenwire Background-16383   in Spun Sugar Distress Ink. I also sponged around the edges every so slightly.  I pierced around the edges and added some rhinestones from the dollar store and a strip of American Crafts Lip Gloss Crushed Velvet ribbon.

Then I popped up the butterfly with pop dots.  Clean and simple is not my forte' but I think I get E for effort.

Tiered Mustang and September Blog Candy

So many of the kids in my neighborhood  are getting their drivers license this year.  Rubbernecker's Mustang Fastback -16315 is a perfect image for a  making a card to mark just an occasion!

This is an old technique but I think they are calling it Tiered Stamping now.
I Just cut 3 layers of card stock and used Dotto a temporary adhesive to keep them together.

I stamped Congratulations from Rubbernecker's Best Wishes Set-15624 on the center panel and then randomly stamped the Mustang Fastback with Versafine Onyx Black.

Then simply separate the images.

I matted each layer with 1/8" black card stock.  Then stamped the mustang again on a separate piece of card stock, colored it with Copics , cut it out and popped it up with Pop Dots.  I added some screw brads and black hemp twine.  It was still missing something so I added some Ranger Glossy Accents. With little ones here to keep me busy, I didn't have time to wait for the Glossy Accents to dry before taking the photo, but it will be clear when completely dry.

On to September's Blog Candy...

A Simple Christmas Christmas Card

I happily stumbled upon a Christmas challenge blog called JINGLE BELLES.
This challenge is playing bingo to create a card, just simple choose a row and create. What fun!!.............

I chose the center vertical line. The tree is a Memory Box die called Flowering Christmas Tree that can be purchased at Ellen Hudson Store. My sweet friend Betsy sent me these dies~Lucky me! I cut it out with my treasured Silver Mirror Paper and using red scrap paper I die cut the Memory Box Flower Mound and added some of the biggest flowers from it and added Stardust stickles to the centers.  Popped it up on a Spellbinders Classic Long Rectangle &Scalloped Rectangle. Mounted it over a swirly embossed panel
The sentiment is Impression Obsession's Happy Christmas-A5283 , stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder. Then punched out with a 1-1/4 inch circle punch.  Love this sparkly ribbon from the dollar store!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Have a fabulous day!

Back to my card....

I was inspired by the primary colors in the crayons. I colored Rubbernecker's Chelsey-16367
with Copic Markers after stamping her with Memento Tuxedo Black. She is such a cute and happy image.  At my house the kids are all nerds that look forward to school~  So I knew that she would be perfect! The letters and numbers on the back panel are from Rubbernecker's Alphabet Set#1-15625. After stamping the numbers and letters with Memento Blue Danube and Love Letter I added a few white dots with my Signo White Gel Pen, then ran them through some embossing folders. I sponged all the edges of the colored card stock with coordinating ink.
Hope to see you play along!!  Don't forget to check and see what my talented Sister's have created. Their links are in my sidebar.  I am also entering this in the CCEE Stampers Challenge 1235 which is a school theme and Splitcoaststampers WT390
