New IO Dies Blog Hop~Day One

Hello Friends~

Welcome to day One of the IO Design Team Blog Hop!  We are showcasing the FABULOUS NEW IO DIES!!  Here is how you can participate and have a chance to win 3 Dies or 3 Die Sets of your choice to be awarded each day: Just leave a comment on each IO dt's blog as well as the IO blog. Good Luck!!

On to my card....

This is one of those cards that is hard to photograph but it's nice and shimmery.  I made homemade Shimmer Mist with Tsukineko Champagne Mist All Purpose Ink and rubbing alcohol and sprayed the entire front of the card.  The Pine Branch DIE021-N and Pine Sprig Cluster DIE097 were colored with Memento Northern Pine and Rich Cocoa.  These pine cones are really awesome because the die embosses them the same time as cutting them.  To color them just rub some ink over it while it is still in the die. Easy peasy!

Silent Night G13168  was stamped with Tsukineko Verafine Onyx Black and clear embossed before die cutting with the Round Ornament DIE092-O.  To give the ornament and pine cones some dimension I used my stylus in on the back side of the die cuts and popped them up with pop dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous day!!
Ellen

  7. Gorgeous Ellen ! It is hard to photograph sparkle but can see it in the close up. The die cuts work well together in your design, I love the music on the ornament. I've created (finally) a card for this week's challenge and have to say that IO's Dies cut like the paper is butter, great quality. I have the pine branch, but the little cluster would be great as well. Have a great day crafty friend, Shirleyx
