Last of my Summer 2013 CHA Favorites

This is my last summer CHA favorites posts and it will be a long one!  I am looking forward to getting back into my craft room and creating my own projects and catching up on everything at home!

I was thrilled with We R Memory Keepers new chalkboard that folds easily down into work space!  At first glance you would think this would be great for a student, however for an over stuffed craft room like mine it would be perfect for an embosssing/glitter station!!  This has multiple compartments, comes with mounting hardware and it's suggested retail price is $199.00. Anything that folds up and out of the way is genius in my books!

Also from W R Memory Keepers is some new punch boards, gift box, gift bag, pillow box, and candy box that are so simple to use! Just measure once, turn and punch then score to create a project in mere minutes! These new punch boards create 4 different sized projects and the MSRP is $19.99.

I use my guillotine style cutter in my craft room except for when I travel for classes. I usually pack my paper trimmer and my Scor Pal. This two in one cutter will cut down on the  supplies to haul!! MSRP $29.99

My favorite premade Flowers this year was Petaloo's new release....

Ranger has expanded their Stickles Dry Glitter line. Which I am super stoked over. I love this glitter!!!

I wish all the companies would make their embossing folders this large!

Graphic 45 is the winner for best paper! Always quality and fabulous designs!

Sizzix designer Eileen Hull has a sweet new line called Cherished. This release includes a Rocking Chair, Cradle, Baby Shoe, Blocks that are easily turned into a piggy bank with the Money Slot die and several more.  Loved the rocking chair! Something that could be made for father's day as well
since it can turned into a recliner!

Here are a few inspiring projects on display at CHA......

Last but not least is my favorite CHA personalities.....

Ranger designer Dyan Reaveley  creator of the Dylusions  line and mixed media artist is hillarious and so amazing to watch demo. She introduced several new products to her line, including a smaller version of her art journal.....

John Petersen quick witted, uber talented and effervescent Creative Director of Tsukineko/Imagine Crafts......

I got to spend some time with Mitra of Impression Obsession. Not only is she a total force of nature with her creative talents but an intelligent business woman.  It was an absolute pleasure to get to know and her team better.......

Sizzix designer Susan Tierney-Cockbrn creator of Susan's Garden 3d flower dies, the flowers seem so intimidating but are truly so easily assembled. Susan has the sweetest demeanor and is just the most genuine person I have met in years..........

and my sweet BAFF (best american friend forever ~inside joke~)that continually inspires me with her creativity......

i
That's all from me from CHA.
Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!!!

Summer 2013 Top Favorites

I have another top CHA picks to share.  It's very hard to have me over the moon about an entire collection but this sent me to the moon and back again!!!

My number two favorite of CHA in Las Vegas was  hands down the Sizzix  collection from Susan's Garden!!  Licensed Designer, Susan Tierney-Cockburn has released 21 new Sizzix Thinlits die sets, 15 new jaw dropping gorgeous 3d Flowers as well as 6 new Grid Works dies that partner with Inchie-Art Squares.  These dies are compatible with all of the machines on the market.  No more bulky and expensive punches, just a package of thin dies that take very little room! The suggested retail price is $19.99, in my opinion a steal of a deal for what can be created with them! Yes these dies will definitely have a home in my craft room!!

Woodland Scenics has created 9 new pollens to compliment Susan's Garden Products for realistic details and  Susan's Garden Tool Kit is a must have!

This is one of Susan's beautiful projects that she created with her dies.  Notice the tiny ladybug that she has on one of the leaves.  She creates ladybugs using red and black Viva Paint Pens and puts them on her creations to honor her daughter.

I was fortunate enough to get to do one of Susan's Hearty Geranium make and takes!

These flowers are so realistic looking that the possibilities of projects are endless that could be created with them!!!

Adding to her collection with a wide variety of beautiful blooms including Anthurium, Bougainvillea, Calla Lily, Cattleya, Clivia, Columbine, Dahlia, Fuchsia, Gazania, Hearty Geranium, Helleborus, Narcissus,  Plumeria, Poinsettia, Yarrow. You can see the rest of her dies HERE.  Susan has created some videos that are easily found on You Tube.

I will be back with more Summer 2013 CHA favorites.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope your day is a good one!

Impression Obsession CHA Sneak Peek Hop Day Five

Welcome to the fifth day of our week long CHA DT Blog Hop.  The Impression Obsession team is showcasing some FABULOUS new images being introduced this week at CHA!

We are having a $25 Gift Certificate drawing each day during the hop, with an extra drawing on Friday.  Be sure to leave a comment on each designer's posts throughout the week for a chance to win.  You can visit the Impression Obsession blog each day for links to the previews.

Now this Butterfly and Pumpkins H1924 by artist Gary Robertson was one fun image to color!!

It was stamped in Memento Desert Sand and colored with Copic markers.  I stamped it again in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored only the front wing and cut it out and adhered it over the butterfly on the image panel for a bit of dimension.    I mounted it over a kraft panel that was embossed with Birds and Swirls embossing folder and the edges sponged with Desert Sand. I added a crisp white Fence Border Die - DIE028-J .

The sentiment is called Simplicity B11106 and was inked and embossed with Memento Tsukineko Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black and Imagine Crafts Clear Embossing Powder

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Impression Obsession Sneak Peek Hop Day Four

Welcome to the fourth day of our week long CHA DT Blog Hop.

Today's card showcases 3 new stamps from Impression Obsession from Dina Kowal's new line.  I am so happy to have this line for masculine cards!  I inked Rodeo Silhouette 1 D13165 with Versafine Black Onyx and stamped it 4 times without reinking and embossed it with  Imagine Crafts Clear Embossing Powder.  I framed it by embossing Barbed Wire D13145 with Black Onyx and shadowing it Memento Tuxedo Black that had been stamped off first.  Love this Ride Hard D13164 sentiment, it just says it all!!  All the edges of the card stock  was distressed with Memento Desert Sand and Rich Cocoa as well as a wee bit of distressing with my fingernail.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!!

Top CHA Favorites

If you are looking for the IO CHA blog hop just click  HERE!

This week I am in Sunny Las Vegas for the Craft & Hobby Association  trade show (CHA).   This is where many of the manufacturers reveal their newest collections for the up and coming seasons.  I love to see what the newest and hottest trends, tools and products are.  I have been asked by several of my readers to share some of my favorites of the show, so in the next few days I will be posting some of these.

This will come as no surprise to those that know me...... Just the same as last CHA ,  my top favorite is the Impression Obsession  new releases and I am not alone. I overheard several times that this is the best release ever!  Click the link above to take you to all of the new stamps and dies being revealed.  There are several new dies that match with stamp sets, as well as several dies that are appropriate for masculine cards that can be given year round, and I am uber excited about the Christmas dies(especially the most stunning and intricate snowflake set) and can't wait to get my inky little hands on them and start creating!!!!!!  Impression Obsession  has several artists designing stamp lines for them which covers every type of image you could want from whimsical to scenic, to whatever your crafting style.  IO offers quality red rubber, cling and clear stamps.... so be sure and check it all out .... HERE!~  Yes, IO is my #1 favorite AGAIN!!!

This is Mitra Friant, owner of  Impression Obsession.  She is a hard working, personable woman and very talented too!  She designs IO dies and many IO stamps as well as runs a successful and thriving company!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic day!
